How to Become a Delivery Manager?
There are several routes into this role, often progressing from positions such as Transport Supervisor, Transport Planner, Customer Service Coordinator, or Operations Team Leader. Experience within transport, warehouse, or logistics customer service environments is highly valued. While a degree isn’t essential, training in logistics, supply chain, or transport operations can be beneficial, and qualifications such as a CPC may support progression. Strong communication, organisation, and the ability to manage pressure are key, along with experience using TMS, route-planning tools, or logistics systems.
